EXAM 1
- Exam 1 is on Feb 18.
- The exam will cover everything we've done so far.
- It will consist of questions just like the quiz questions.
- We'll review on Feb 16. Look at the material ahead of time so you know what you want to review.
- To do well, you will want to review--
- blog posts & your own notes
- feedback on your quiz (returning Friday)
- feedback on your RRs
- the readings
- Make good use of the blog but don't memorize anything--must express ideas in your own words
- Be specific (e.g. explain ideas in specific sections of Epictetus)
- Elaborate (e.g. "what is hedonism?")--one sentence is rarely enough
- Give complete explanations--(e.g. Haybron's objection to Vitrano)
- Make sure you understand what an argument is
